Yellow Dress Weather

Yellow Dress Weather

The transition between winter and spring can be very extreme. One day has 30 degrees and 80 percent humidity, and the next day can be 20 degrees (my last post is focus on who to layer when it’s cold but it’s spring). Whatever it is – a yellow dress could fix. I like to play with colorful clothes, especially after the winter because I like to use pale color scheme, with tones like navy, black and burgundy. The pop of color for spring is essential, and I never wore yellow before so I glad this experience came out well.

Yellow was never my color, and personally I think it doesn’t look so great on anyone. At this time of the year, when winter is finally over, my skin color is very pale, and my thoughts are somewhere between my last year vacations to New York. So when I first saw this yellow dress on Zara website, I thought I would give it a try. I tone done the look with white Superga sneakers, and my beautiful Martella bag (which I also wore during NYFW).

Almost every brand I follow did some yellow clothing for this SPRING/SUMMER season (Zara for example has 10 different yellow dresses). To me, the color yellow remind freshness, happiness, energy, and optimism. SO – if you like the color I suggest you to buy it! But before you running to buy your yellow dress, you should be aware to your skin color, because yellow is not for everyone.

How to buy yellow according to your skin color?

Pale/Fair – Mustard and dark yellow would be the best on you, or bold yellow such as the one I have on my dress. Those tones will make you pop the best, and would be the most flattering.

Tan – Bright and bold yellow will make you glow as the stars in the sky!

Dark – Honestly? Every yellow tone would look great on you. If you have bold personality, or you like fun colors, you can try neon yellow for a night out or pool party, and yellow pastel for the branch with the girls.

Unfortunately, the dress I’m wearing in the pictures is not longer available (Shocking! just bought it two weeks ago), but I put some other options on the ‘similar look’ widget, and on the link I attached (Zara has really nice yellow dresses right now). But! Luckily to you, you can get 10% off on your next Martella bag with the code danielle10.

Always happy to hear your thoughts about my ideas!

Have a great weekend! Xx
